Armed robbery Grafton Street

Gardaí in Pearse Street say they have arrested a man following an armed robbery at a business premises on Grafton Street yesterday.

In a statement, gardai said:

“At approximately 3.20p.m. yesterday afternoon a lone male entered the business premises on Grafton Street armed with a weapon and threatened the staff members.

“He left the scene on foot with a number of items from the premises.

“In a follow up search Gardaí arrested one man (early 40’s) and a number of items stolen from the premises were located.

“He was taken to Pearse Street Garda station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

“The investigation is ongoing.”
