One man charged in connection with €220,000 drug seizure in Mountview

Gardaí have charged one man in relation to the €220,000 drug seizure following the search of a premises in Mountview, Dublin 15 on Friday, February 4.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “Two men were detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 in Blanchardstown and one man (early 40s) was released without charge on Sunday 6th February, 2022 and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.”

The second man (late 40s) has been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court today at 10.30a.m.

Investigations are ongoing.
