Solidarity walk for Ashling Murphy at 4pm today starting at Lock 5 Royal Canal
Padraig Conlon 19 Jan 2022Following the shocking and senseless death of Ashling Murphy last Wednesday, there will be a local solidarity walk taking place along the canal this afternoon at 4pm.
The walk will commence at Royal Canal bank, Lock 5 (by Des Kelly’s) and supporters are invited to meet at 3:50pm.
The walk will go to Broombridge before returning to Phibsboro, taking approximately one hour.
Everyone is encouraged to join for as long or as short a time as they can.
The purpose of this walk will be to mark one week passing since Ashling’s death and to show support for Ashling, her family, and all survivors and victims of gender-based violence.
Please invite friends and family to join, including children and young people.
It would be great to see as many members of our entire community as possible taking part.
