Gardaí arrest and release two men in connection with Tallaght shooting

Gardaí have arrested two people in connection with a shooting incident that occured in the Rossfield Avenue of Tallaght on July 24, 2021.

In a statement a Garda spokesperson says that the men were arrested on Monday as part of their investigations.

The men were released this morning with Gardaí saying that it is preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí say the incident took place shortly after 2:30am on the day in question.

“A man, aged in his late teens, and a male juvenile, aged in his teens, were detained in Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
Investigations are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
