Drugs worth more than €286,000 seized in Coolock yesterday

Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit at Coolock have seized drugs worth in excess of €286,000 in the course of an operation in Dublin 13 yesterday.

In a statement, Gardaí say that “as part of Operation Tara and ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in North Dublin, Gardaí searched a house in the Greenwood area of Dublin 13.

“In the course of a search, a number of packages were recovered containing cannabis with an estimated value in excess of €280,000.

“No arrests were made in this phase of the investigation. The drugs seized will be forwarded to FSI for analysis.”

The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow, a Garda spokesperson said.
