6 Extra Days Added to ‘Dublin Winter Lights’ at Merrion Square Park

Due to popular demand, Dublin City Council has added six extra days to ‘Dublin Winter Lights’ at Merrion Square Park.

The council say the additional days will allow for the release of over 20,000 extra tickets and the installations will run every day up to and including Wednesday, December 22.

Tickets are free and available to order on Eventbrite now.

It is important for ticketholders to arrive at the park during their allocated timeslot, as they may not be guaranteed entry otherwise.

Tickets are limited to a maximum of six per person.

Entry will start from 5pm, with the last admissions at 9pm.

The newest addition to the ‘Dublin Winter Lights’ festival features Christmas characters, an interactive snowstorm, Oscar Wilde and much more.

At the heart of the park, a 15-metre-high Christmas tree showcases spectacular animations.

Make sure to secure your spot to be dazzled by a magical medley of LED-powered projections and witness the park transform into a winter wonderland.

The Merrion Square Park installations are part of the wider ‘Dublin Winter Lights’ programme, which consists of twenty-one individual sites across Dublin city.

Since 2018, ‘Dublin Winter Lights’ has illuminated Dublin city with its unique and enchanting animations.

In light of the ever-changing Covid-19 situation, the utmost care is being taken concerning the health and safety of all visitors and staff present at this event.

All in attendance will be asked to comply with the latest HSE guidelines and to wear a face mask where 2 metre social distancing is not possible.

The 20,800 additional tickets have been released in compliance with social distancing requirements.
