Post mortem completed on man who died due to serious head injuries after being found in Finglas

Gardaí in Finglas investigating the death of the man, 26, that occurred on the evening of Thursday, 11th November can confirm the post mortem has completed.

The result of the post mortem will not be released for operational reasons.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “Gardaí continue to investigate all the circumstances of the unexplained gunshot wounds that caused the fatal injuries to the deceased.

“An Garda Síochána are appealing for any person who was in the vicinity of Mellowes Avenue, Mellowes Road, Kildonan Road or Cardiffsbridge Road between 7.30pm and 8.00pm on the 11th November 2021, particular any person or driver with dashcam or other video footage to contact investigating Gardaí at Finglas Garda Station 01 666 7500, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
