Man found with serious head injuries in Finglas dies from wounds

A 26 year old male has died from the serious head injuries sustained on the 11th November, after being found in a park in Finglas.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “The Office of the State Pathologist has been informed and the remains will be removed this afternoon, Monday 15th November 2021, to the City Morgue, Whitehall where a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow Tuesday 16th November by Dr. Linda Mulligan, Chief State Pathologist.

“The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation into the as yet unexplained injuries suffered by the deceased.

“An Garda Síochána continue to appeal for any person who was in the vicinity of Mellowes Avenue, Mellowes Road, Kildonan Road or Cardiffsbridge Road between 7.30pm and 8.00pm on the 11th November 2021, particular any person or driver with dashcam or other video footage to contact investigating Gardaí at Finglas Garda Station 01 – 6667500, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
