Nearly €150,000 of drugs and ammunition seized at Ballymun premises

Yesterday, Wednesday, August 18, Gardaí from the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the Ballymun Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Service seized €80,000 of heroin and €64,000 of cannabis during a search of a premises in the Ballymun area.

Also seized was €150 of benzodiazepine and 40 9mm rounds of semi-automatic ammunition.

A 24-year old male was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Ballymun Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
