Kevin Street Gardaí seize cannabis jellies and cash in Bluebell search

Gardaí attached to Kevin Street station seized cannabis jellies with an estimated street value of €33,700 and cash in excess of €14,000 in Bluebell, Dublin 12 on Sunday morning, August 8.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “A man (mid 30s) was driving in Bluebell when Gardaí stopped his vehicle.

“A search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977/84 was conducted.

“During the course of the search cash was seized and a small quantity of cannabis.

“The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Kevin Street Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

“In a follow up search of a residential property Gardaí seized cannabis jellies with an estimated street value of €33,700.

“An array of drug paraphernalia was also seized at the property.

“A man (40s) and woman (30s) were arrested and were detained at Kevin Street Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

“The two men were charged in relation to the seizure and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice, this morning Monday 9th August, 2021 at 10.30a.m.

“The woman was charged and will appear before Court on the 1st September, 2021.

“Investigations ongoing.”
