Irish Coast Guard rescues three people off the coast of Howth yesterday

Yesterday afternoon the Irish Coast Guard based in Howth were tasked to a person in the water along with Rescue 116 and Howth Lifeboat at Lions Head Howth.

According to a spokesperson, “upon arrival two casualties were located in the water and one at the base of a steep cliff, the first casualty was winched onboard Rescue 116, the second was treated by Irish Coast Guard – Howth before been winched onboard Coast Guard Rescue 116.

A third casualty, who was located on nearby cliffs, “was assisted to the top of the cliff by the Coast Guard cliff rescue team.

“Remember if you see anyone in trouble on the cliffs, coast or water dial 112/999 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
