Man arrested over aggravated burglary at restaurant in Swords

Gardaí have arrested a man in relation to an aggravated burglary which occurred in Swords, Co. Dublin on the 30th May 2021.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Gardai said: “At approximately 12 noon yesterday, Gardaí received report of a burglary at a restaurant in the Applewood area of Swords.
“A male had entered the premises and threatened staff members with a weapon before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.
“Gardaí from Swords Garda Station attended the scene and conducted searches of the area.
“The male (20s) was located at a nearby premises and arrested.
“He was taken to Swords Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
“The sum of stolen cash was recovered.
“A file will be prepared for the DPP in relation to this matter.”
