Sport Ireland helping Ireland Keep Well with video exercise series

Padraig Conlon 08 Feb 2021

As part of Healthy Ireland’s Keep Well campaign, Sport Ireland has produced a series of exercise videos aimed at keeping new mums, older people and children with sensory needs in the best possible shape over the next few months.

Each exercise stand consists of six video episodes tailored for the needs of specific groups who are under-represented when it comes to involvement in physical activity and may currently be having difficulty accessing services they normally use:

  • Senior Strength Keep Well Programme for the over 70s
  • Post Natal Keep Well Programme for new mothers
  • Keep Well Programme for children with additional sensory needs and their parents/guardians/carers

The videos are led by expert trainers Fiona and Paul Oppermann and are designed specifically for the needs of each group.

No special equipment is required and the exercises are designed to be accessible to all.

The videos are available on the Sport Ireland website, www.sportireland.ie/keepwell, and people can take part wherever and whenever they want.
