TradFest at home – 4 stunning nights of fun this week

Padraig Conlon 25 Jan 2021

TradFest Temple Bar has always attracted a large overseas audience into Ireland each January as well as attracting thousands of Dubliners into some of the city’s most iconic heritage venues to enjoy Traditional Irish and Folk Music.

The Global Covid-19 crisis means that this won’t be possible in January 2021.

So, until we can all be together again in music, the event organisers have created four stunning nights of music featuring some of Irelands leading performers, all filmed in the splendour of the state apartments in Dublin Castle.

TradFest wants to send the message that Ireland is the live music destination in the world, even for those who can’t be here.

They will be beaming out a series of events that could only take place in Ireland and will exude warmth and strength of character that retains the best of our heritage.

So, grab your favourite pyjamas and join them from this Thursday January 28 and get ready for four nights of spirit lifting musical entertainment from the safety of your home, which you can stream wherever you are.

Tickets are on sale now (costing €4.99) from tradfest.ie, once you buy your ticket you can watch the show for up to three days.

The concerts will stream from 8pm across all time zones.

We hope to see you there, whatever part of the globe you may be in as we celebrating being together in music.

This concert series is just one part of a series of TradFest events which are planned to take place over the coming months.

While bringing great music to audiences at home TradFest is also conscious that it is vital to support artists and those in the industry at such a challenging time for live entertainment.

TradFest, is run by the Temple Bar Company, made possible by the businesses in Temple Bar in Dublin City’s Centre.

While this has been a really difficult year for many of those businesses too, they remain committed to TradFest and supporting artists.
