The organisers of the St Patrick’s Festival have announced that for the second year in a row there will be no street parade in Dublin this year.

Instead a virtual festival will take place online for the festival which runs from MArch 12 to 17.

“A rich and dynamic programme of festival events, created by hundreds of artists, musicians, performers, makers, creators, arts and live events workers and community organisations across Ireland, will run on the St Patrick’s Festival TV online channel over six days and nights”, Aileen Galvin Marketing and Communications Director said in a statement.

The Dublin St Patricks festival and parade usually draws over 110,000 visitors for the four days, usually involving more than 3,000 artists and performers.
