All-Ireland football champions Dublin lead the way for the 2020 PwC Football All-Star Awards with 13 nominees.

Mayo, the beaten finalists, have 12 nominees.

The two counties share the most representatives with 25 nominees on the 45-player shortlist.

Overall, 10 counties are represented on the list.

Dublin’s tally of 13 nominees matches their 2017 and 2019 totals.

Six players on the shortlist were awarded All-Star honours last year with Stephen Cluxton, Michael Fitzsimons, Patrick Durcan, Brian Fenton, Con O’Callaghan and David Clifford picking up the award.

The nominees were decided by a committee of GAA media correspondents and chaired by GAA President John Horan. The All-Star team will be announced late next month in a TV show that will be in line with Covid-19 restrictions.

Dublin’s Brian Fenton and Ciaran Kilkenny with Mayo’s Cillian O’Connor have been nominated for footballer of the year.
