Energia has launched its annual ‘Ireland’s Most Christmassy Home’ competition and is looking for applicants from Dublin.

Now in its fifth year, one of Ireland’s leading energy suppliers, Energia, is calling on households to submit images of their homes decorated for Christmas to potentially be crowned ‘Irelands Most Christmassy Home’. Full details on how to enter are available at https://www.energia.ie/imch-entries

To celebrate five years of the competition the winner’s prize money will be doubled! This year 1st place will receive €6,000 for their chosen charity, 2nd place will receive €4,000 and 3rd place will receive €2,000. All winners will be decided by a public vote. Previous winners have donated to charities including Arklow RNLI, Adare Alzheimers and Wexford Homecare Hospice.

This year entrants from Dublin have longer than ever to apply, with applications open from November 20th and closing midnight, Sunday, December 6. All you need to do is snap a photo of your outdoor Christmas decorations and light displays and submit it online.

The Energia elves will review all entries and announce the shortlist on Monday December 14th. Online voting will then open and the public will have until Sunday, December 20 to select a winner, who will be announced on Monday, December 21.

Geoff Codd Head of Marketing and Retail Development, Energia commented; “We are delighted to launch Ireland’s Most Christmassy Home annual competition for 2020. This year more than ever we need to spread some festive cheer at home and empower kindness.

“The competition has grown in popularity and is now a firm fixture in household calendars all over Ireland. The Energia team is looking forward to seeing what households have planned this year and playing a part in raising vital funds for charities across Ireland who need our support in these difficult times.”
