Man arrested after cannabis seized at Dublin Airport

Gardaí have arrested a man following the seizure of 9.2kg of herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport on 19th February.
The cannabis, with an estimated street value of €183,000, was discovered concealed and vacuum within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Thailand.
A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
He has since been charged to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, Friday, 20th February.
The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
