Woman charged after €100,000 of cannabis seized in Swords

Gardaí seized suspected cannabis herb valued at €100,000 and arrested one woman during a search operation in Swords, County Dublin on Wednesday evening, 2nd October 2024.

As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the Swords area, Gardaí from the Coolock District Drugs Unit conducted a search operation at a residence yesterday evening.

During the course of the search, suspected cannabis herb with a street value of €100,000 was seized by Gardaí. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

One woman (aged in her 40s) was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. She has since been charged and is due to appear before court at a later date.

Investigations are ongoing.
