Gardaí arrest four people following searches in Finglas yesterday

Gardaí have arrested four individuals following a number of searches in Finglas West, Co. Dublin yesterday morning, Thursday, May 26.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “Following searches by Finglas Gardaí at a number of houses, one man in his 20s was arrested under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939, for Firearm Offences which relate to an incident which occurred in January 2022.

“During the search of another house, a firearm was recovered.

“One man (30s) and two women (20s) were arrested at this premises under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939, for Firearm Offences.

“All four arrested are currently detained at Finglas and Blanchardstown Garda Station.”

Investigations are ongoing.
