Call out for Community Climate Action Projects
Dublin People 25 Apr 2025
Dublin City Council is calling on community groups to express their interest in undertaking climate actions within their local communities.

Last year, 50 community groups received funding of between €6,000 and €100,000 for climate action projects, under the Government of Ireland, Community Climate Action Fund.
A call for a second round of funding will be made later this year and in order to ensure Dublin communities are best placed to benefit from this opportunity, Dublin City Council has opened an Expression of Interest application which will enable participating communities to receive expert advice and support in preparation for making a climate action project proposal.
The Expression of Interest application can be applied for via Dublin City Council’s Citizen Hub, Apply-For-It page. Community groups wanting to benefit from this fund will need to complete an Expression of Interest in order to access the full application.
This is to ensure groups can maximise the benefits to their communities and to ensure they are fully aware of the requirements expected when undertaking a Government funded climate action project.
