Dublin Samaritans volunteers raise awareness at The Dublin Horse Show

Volunteers from Dublin Samaritans tended to the stand over the five days at the Dublin House Show to bring public awareness to its new initiative ‘The Friends of Dublin Samaritans ‘Forest of Hope’.

The team were excited to tell visitors about its services, freephone helpline and its new fundraiser which will ensure that Samaritans freephone 116 123 continues to support those in distress or at risk of suicide.

The stand at The Dublin Horse Show featured a beautifully handcrafted Irish Phonebox by Dublin native Paul Murphy and an old Irish post box.

The phone box represents the space and confidentially that Dublin Samaritans provide to every caller.

The phone within the phonebox represents the open line of communication.

Visitors to the display were able to walk through a scaled-down ‘Forest of Hope’ which included native Irish trees.

Dublin Samaritans are always only a phone call away.
