‘Van Gogh After Dark’ expands due to popular demand
Dublin People 15 Jan 2026
Following strong demand and sold out sessions, the team behind Dream Point’s new ‘Van Gogh After Dark’ experience have announced a major extension due to interest, with Van Gogh themed Fridays now running weekly from January 16th through to March 20th.
The expansion sees Dream Point introducing a new all day Van Gogh Friday format, welcoming families and children during the day before transitioning into the adults only Dream Point After Dark experience each Friday evening.
From 10am to 5pm every Friday, Dream Point will operate as Dream Point Van Gogh All Ages, allowing children and families to explore the venue’s immersive rooms while experiencing the acclaimed Van Gogh digital art content in the projection space. During daytime sessions, younger visitors will also enjoy a specially created child friendly documentary exploring the life of Vincent van Gogh, alongside themed colouring sheets inspired by his work.
From 5.30pm to 8pm, the venue will switch to Dream Point After Dark, an adults only evening experience that allows guests to explore Dream Point without daytime crowds before settling into the Van Gogh projection show in a relaxed, night time atmosphere. Evening sessions will feature an extended adult version of the Van Gogh documentary, reinforcing the experience as a true night out rather than a traditional exhibition visit.
The Van Gogh Fridays extension follows significant interest from parents hoping to experience the Van Gogh content with children, alongside continued demand for the original After Dark concept which launched over Christmas.
“We were blown away by the reaction to After Dark,” says Dan Gleeson, Co Founder of Dream Point and Theatre of Light. “At the same time, we kept hearing from parents who remembered the RDS Van Gogh show and wanted to share something similar with their kids. Expanding Fridays allows us to do both in a way that feels natural for the space.”
Adult ticket pricing will remain consistent across the day and evening on Van Gogh Fridays, with adult entry priced at €20.90 inclusive of booking fees.
The only exception to the Van Gogh Fridays schedule will be during the February midterm break from February 15th to February 22nd. During this period, Dream Point will revert to its standard format, with regular daytime sessions from 10am to 4.30pm and Dream Point After Dark operating separately in the evenings from 6.30pm to 8pm.
With its glowing corridors, balloon filled rooms, immersive installations and digital art centrepiece, Dream Point Van Gogh After Dark is also being positioned as one of Dublin’s most memorable date night experiences, particularly in the lead up to Valentine’s Day.
“People keep telling us it feels like a proper night out,” says John Gleeson, Co Founder of Dream Point. “You can wander, take photos, enjoy a beverage, and then lose yourself in the Van Gogh show together. For couples looking for something different this Valentine’s, it’s a really special option, and we’d encourage people to book early.”
Tickets for Dream Point Van Gogh Fridays and Dream Point After Dark Van Gogh are on sale now via dreampointexperience.ie, with limited capacity each session. More updates can be found on their Instagram here.
