Dublin People’s must see artists for All Together Now 2022

Gary Ibbotson 27 Jul 2022

In only a few days time, All Together Now returns to the grand setting of Curraghmore Estate in County Waterford.

Featuring 18 stages of music, spoken word, comedy, theatre, debate, art, workshops, and wellness, the festival has something for everyone.

Food and bespoke drink experiences will also be offered over the three days, as well as a breathe wellness area and Kids Together – a specially curated space for families and young children.

What follows is Dublin People’s picks for the must-see musical acts over the weekend, sure to deliver some breathtaking and show-stopping performances.

Friday

Self Esteem

Coming fresh off a triumphant Glastonbury set and a Mercury prize nomination, Self Esteem’s (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) performance is arguably one of the most anticipated of the entire weekend.

Expect a large crowd, uplifting tunes, and spectacular visuals at the Something Kind of Wonderful Stage at 10pm on Friday evening.

Jungle

Back in Ireland after their infectiously fun set in the Olympia Theatre in 2019, Jungle are set to headline the Main Stage on Friday night.

With a back catalogue filled with fan favourites such as Busy Earnin’ and Time, expect this lively set to be one of the most memorable of the weekend.

King Kong Company

Bringing a close to the Something Kind of Wonderful stage on Friday night, King Kong Company are set to play a homecoming set in their native Waterford, where they first met.

One of Ireland’s best dance music acts, the energy at ATN’s second biggest stage will be electric, so will the music booming from the speakers until half two in the morning.

Saturday

Pillow Queens

Roaring guitars, a fierce rhythm section and beautiful melodies are to be expected at Pillow Queens’ set on the Main Stage on Saturday.

The Dublin natives have exploded in recent years forming into one of Ireland’s most-talked about acts of any genre.

With a reputation for delivering an enthralling live performance, the four-piece are a must see for all music fans.

The Mary Wallopers

As the Covid-19 pandemic (hopefully) comes to an end, The Mary Wallopers have emerged as one of Ireland’s hottest musical acts.

Over the past two years they have delighted fans over Zoom and YouTube with their incredibly catchy brand of trad music garnished with creative lyrics and distinctive delivery.

Scheduled to hit the Something Kind of Wonderful Stage at 5pm on Saturday, the Dundalk lads should be hit with the die-hard fans and those listening with a curious ear.

Joy Orbison

Joy Orbison, or Peter O’Grady, is set to play into the wee hours on Sunday morning, taking to the Road to Nowhere tent at 1:30 am.

The English electronic musician has grown a cult following ever since his undergound hit Hyph Mngo in 2009.

Meshing together house, dubstep, UK funk, and UK garage music, his style is perfectly suited to the late-night festival atmosphere and is sure to draw a crowd.

Sunday

The Main Stage

This may seem like a bit of a cop out, but the lineup for the Main Stage on Sunday is unmatched over the weekend in our opinion.

Starting with Rufus Wainright, before playing host to CMAT, Denise Chaila, and Jordan Rakei, the stage welcomes Aussie psych-rockers King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard before bowing out with dance music legends Underworld.

Flowing from singer-songwriter, to country pop, to hip-hop, to psychedelia and dance music and everything in between, you really cannot go wrong by setting up camp at the Main Stage in the early afternoon and absorbing the greatness as it unfolds.
