Everything you need to know before heading to Forbidden Fruit this weekend

Below you’ll find everything you need to know about the festivities, the do’s and don’ts, and how to have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
- This festival is SOLD OUT. Like compleeeetely 100% sold out! Please please do not travel to the festival grounds unless you have a valid ticket and ID. Add your ticket to your phone’s wallet and keep it handy.
- Beware of ticket scammers. Never purchase tickets from an unofficial source. We can not verify any tickets purchased from secondary sources or unofficial ticket outlets. Tickets are non transferable. Don’t risk it!
- This is a cashless event. Bring your phone, credit / debit cards.
- Make sure you bring valid ID with you!
- Please don’t bring large bags with you, keep ‘em A4 or smaller. People without bags will be fast-tracked into the arena.
- Sunscreen and hand sanitiser can be brought to the festival as long as they are travel size (100ml) and shown to security on entrance.
- There is no readmission. Day tickets are valid to be scanned once upon arrival for the allocated day you purchased and Weekend tickets are valid to be scanned once upon arrival, each day you attend the festival. Once you’re in for the day, you’re in! Last entry to the festival is 21:30pm.
- There are details on how to get to the site via bus, train and Luas on www.forbiddenfruit.ie/info and the pedestrian entrance is via East Gate, Military Road and West Gate, James St.
- We are lucky enough to be a city centre festival – but we are in a residential area. Please please be considerate of our neighbours and leave the venue quietly. Thank you.
In a statement, organisers say that “it’s important to look after yourself and others.”
“We encourage you to pace yourself, relax, and enjoy the experience responsibility and take care of each other.
“Respect each other, workers, the local community and the environment.
“NEVER urinate in public (please use the toilets).
“Hold each other accountable for each other’s actions.
“Never litter (please use bins provided).
“Practice active consent.
“Be respectful of people’s identities, cultures, and cultural practices – Remember, everyone deserves to stay safe.”
Organisers have also advised revelers to make a contingency plan with friends.
“Pre-determine a place to meet up that’s clear, specific, and easy to find. Example: Info Point,” they say.
“Be aware and take care of your physical, mental, emotional needs.
“Do a mental health check-in with your group: Share with each other how to identify signs that people might be in need of support.
“Check-in on a regular basis and be honest about how you each feel.
“Check the forecast before heading to the festival, remember, we live in Ireland.
“Fully charge your phone ahead of traveling to the festival.
“Make sure you have your ticket & photo ID before entering the festival.”
