Dublin man Keith Andrews has been hired as the new manager of Premier League side Brentford.
Sky Sports News reported on Friday afternoon that the Dubliner has been offered a three-year contract to manage Brentford, marking his first job in senior management.
Andrews, who began his playing career at Drumcondra club Stella Maris, has succeeded Thomas Frank at the London side.
Prior to his appointment at Brentford, Andrews served as the assistant manager to Stephen Kenny during his ill-fated spell as Ireland manager.
Frank was tapped to succeed Ange Postecoglou of fellow London side Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.
Andrews has been part of Frank’s backroom staff at Brentford since 2024, working as the team’s set piece coach last season.
The 2024-2025 season was Brentford’s best-ever season in the Premier League, finishing in 10th place.
Brentford’s ability to consistently secure mid-table finishes – without the massive financial backing of other clubs – has won them praise at home and abroad.
Brentford were promoted to the Premier League in 2021, marking the first time they played in the top flight of English football since the 1940s.
Andrews’ first competitive game as Brentford manager will take place on August 17th, with an away trip to Nottingham Forest.
