A Perrystown shop is the talk of Dublin 12 this week after it emerged that it sold a Lotto Plus 1 ticket worth a life changing €1 million.
The winning ticket for Saturday’s draw on April 18 was sold at the Spar store at 178/180 Whitehall Road West, and news of the win has already brought huge excitement to the area.
There were cheers and celebrations after confirmation that the local shop had sold the top prize ticket, instantly making one of its customers Ireland’s newest millionaire.
Store owner Kieren Furey said the win was the biggest ever recorded at the family run business, which has served the local community for 27 years.
“Our family-run store has been here for 27 years, and this win marks the largest that we have ever had.
“I just know that all of our staff will be over the moon to hear that one of our customers has won €1 million.
“I wish the winner all the very best with their win – what a week they are having!”

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner has already made contact, with arrangements now being put in place for them to visit Lottery Headquarters and claim their prize.
For the Perrystown community, the win has added a major buzz, with locals now wondering who among them is holding the golden ticket…
