Gardaí have charged two men, in their 20s and late teens, who were arrested yesterday following a managed containment operation in South Dublin yesterday afternoon.
They are due to appear before Tallaght District Court this morning, June 1 at 10:30am.
“The male juvenile who was also arrested as part of this investigation has been released without charge pending a referral to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme,” a spokesperson said.
“A woman arrested at the scene for public order offences was released without charge pending adult caution.”
Shortly after 1:00pm yesterday, a car failed to stop for Gardaí when directed to do so and a managed containment operation was put in place.
“The car was involved in a road traffic collision with a motorcycle in the Rathfarnham area,” the Gardaí say.
“The motorcyclist was taken to Tallaght Hospital to be treated for their injuries. The car failed to remain at the scene.
“The car later came to a stop at a location in the Tallaght area. It was involved in a collision with an official Garda Vehicle at this location.”
