A Mayo man has had a trial date set in relation to an alleged deception concerning the sale of a property in Spain that belonged to Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross, Dublin.
Michael Egan (56) of Bunnanertish, Knockanillaun, Ballina, will remain on continuing bail until his trial date on November 25, 2024.
Mr Egan was brought forward to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court from the District Court on the charge that he dishonestly with the intention of making a loss to Our Lady’s Hospice Limited, did by deception induce Our Lady’s Hospice to sell a property at a loss on March 5, 2015.
Yesterday his bail conditions were amended and he was ordered to sign on every Sunday and Monday at his local garda station.
Judge Martin Nolan also ordered that he provide a mobile phone number to the gardaí and ensure that the phone is fully charged at all times.
