Three years on from the last parade, it has been announced that the Clondalkin St Patrick’s Day parade is set to return to the village this year.

Local Independent Councillor Francis Timmons , who is also Parade Chair, is sending a call-out for people to get invloved and make it the biggest parade so far!

‘’I am delighted that after two years of no parade the Clondalkin Patricks day Parade will be returning to Clondalkin village,” Councillor Timmons said.

“We are delighted that the Clondalkin Youth Band have confirmed they will be taking part.

“We have launched our callout for participants, volunteers and a grand Marshall.

“Previous Grand marshals included Mary Kennedy, Colm Gavin, Mary Dardis, Philip and Gemma Carr and last year online Uimhir.

“This year the public decide.

“The Clondalkin Patricks Day Parade is always a family day out and this year there is the added bonus of an extra Bank Holiday the next day.

“We are sending out a callout to get involved and lets make it the biggest and best parade so far!

“The feedback so far has been in the whole very positive and a lot are looking forward to a family day out full of fun and laughs.

“The K&G funfair will also be around on the day along with DJ Joey Howe keeping the crowd entertained.
