Council want public’s opinion on plans for pedestrian space in Dun Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is currently preparing plans to create a new pedestrian space called Myrtle Square in front of Bloomfield’s Shopping Centre.

With this in mind they have just opened consultation to get the local public’s opinion on the plans.

The public realm works will extend the full length of Convent Lane to the junction with Convent Road.

According to the council, the project aims to stimulate a vibrant streetscape which will encourage footfall in this location and throughout the town centre.
