Southsiders told to close windows as wildfire rages in Killiney

Residents in South Dublin were told to close their doors and windows as Dublin Fire Brigade battled a huge wildfire in Killiney

Three fire crews battled the blaze that threw a large cloud of smoke over the hill.

“If you are living in the area, close your windows and doors while we extinguish the fire,” Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted.

This latest blaze comes a day after Dublin Fire Brigade was called to Killiney Golf Course to extinguish a wildfire there.

“Call us if you see a wildfire, don’t assume someone else has called,” the fire brigade added.
