Bulmers Live at Leopardstown returns this summer to the famous Dublin racecourse with another exciting bill of live music spanning eight superb weeks of top class flat racing.
Leopardstown Racecourse has announced that the first three artists for its 2020 series, will be DJ Mark McCabe, Tim Chadwick and Qween who all set to take the stage with five more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
Mark McCabe is a DJ/Producer from Dublin, who in recent times has proved just how diverse and dynamic he really is. Currently collaborating with Australian duo The Sunset Bros, LMC and releasing his own music on Universal Music, Mark’s ‘Maniac 2000’ is the second biggest-selling record ever in Ireland and this year celebrates its 20 year anniversary.
His stellar remix of the Gavin James track ‘Nervous’ is still burning bright around the world, having reached over 150 million streams to date and achieving chart positions including Top 5 in Holland, Norway, Belgium and Top 10 in France, while his high energy Dj sets have been wowing crowds all over the world.
Tim Chadwick, meanwhile, burst onto the music scene in 2019 with his breakthrough single ‘I Need To Know’, which saw huge support in Ireland and the UK, as well as giving the young singer his first charting in the Official Top 50 Singles Charts.
Tim has continued this great form in early 2020 with another one of his signature 'sad bangers’ – a phrase coined by critics and fans alike describing his brand of pop-centric sad songs – titled ‘Sore Thumb’.
The young Irish singer's recent headline show in Dublin sold out in a whirlwind 48hrs and he has amassed over 20M+ streams online, as well as supporting Mabel, Hudson Taylor and Billy Lockett and playing hit festivals Indiependence, Sea Sessions, Hit The North and Pride. Notable Tim Chadwick fans include Jesse Ware and Hollywood actress Demi Moore.
Following a huge resurgence in the music of rock legends Queen in 2019, thanks to the award-winning film Bohemian Rhapsody, fans of the iconic band will be delighted to learn that one of Europe’s finest tribute acts, Qween, will bring their acclaimed live hour production of greatest hits.
Tim Husbands, CEO of Leopardstown Racecourse, said: “Leopardstown Racecourse has firmly established itself at the forefront of raceday entertainment in Ireland. Bulmers Live is the epitome of this with unrivalled acts playing after racing during the summer months.
"With that being said; the music industry in Ireland is in such a competitive space at the moment, so we were conscious that we needed to ensure the standard of Bulmers Live at Leopardstown remained where it has been over the past couple of years and what people expect when they come, while also keeping it fresh for returning visitors.
“We’re delighted with the variety and quality we’re offering with this year’s line-up; there’s something for all ages and musical tastes and we’re particularly proud to continue our tradition of supporting great Irish music. Each evening offers something different that you’re not going to want to miss and we’re really looking forward to sharing some more fantastic live acts over the coming weeks.”
