It’s a Grande day for a local wool shop

Pop superstar Ariana Grande.

A LOCAL  wool shop in Walkinstown is enjoying an unprecedented boost to business thanks to an unlikely endorsement from pop superstar Ariana Grande.

The American singer and global chart topper visited Springwools in September, when she spent a few days in Dublin while performing in the 3Arena.

The singer stocked up on hundreds of euros’ worth of aran yarns and luxury Irish knitting wool.

Springwools shared news of their celebrity customer on social media, and the story soon spread on news websites and national radio stations.

In business for almost 40 years, Springwools has never been short of enthusiastic knitters.

But since Ariana Grande’s visit though, Springwools has enjoyed a noticeable boost in sales.

Best-sellers so far this season include books and products aimed at novice knitters, and staff have noticed an increase in the number of younger shoppers in their teens and twenties.
