THRONGS of cyclists will gather at Brady's pub in Shankill on Saturday May 26 before heading south to Arklow and back again in a popular cycle challenge aimed at raising funds and awareness of suicide prevention.
This is the fourth year of the SOS Shankill 120 cycle and, with two routes to choose from, it is open to seasoned cyclists or those who fancy a more leisurely spin.
It is 120km from Brady’s to the Arklow Sports & Leisure Centre and back, or there is the shorter option of 60km from Brady’s to the Grove Bar in Kilpeddar, Co Wicklow and back.
The day starts at 9am and funds will allow Suicide or Survive, a Shankill-based national mental health charity, to continue delivering its innovative and life changing programmes throughout the country.
Cyclists will be welcomed by the wonderful team at Brady’s pub in Shankill on the morning, with a complimentary breakfast at registration and again on their return for a free evening BBQ, live DJ and fun late into the evening.
To take part you can register online for €40 at www.suicideorsurvive.ie or www.tinyurl.com/SOScycle. For more information contact 1890577577.
