THE team behind Ireland’s largest summer festival Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular festival have partnered with living happy and healthy advocates, The Happy Pear, to create a unique festival for kids and their parents in acelebration of playfulness, fun and imagination.
A digital detox for families, Playstival with The Happy Pear focuses on ‘going back to basics’ and a more innocent approach to games and play – there will be no fancy technology or a screen to be found.
Playstival with the Happy Pear is an antithesis of how the world is moving with mobile phones, games and consoles.
The festival is created to give parents and their kids a real genuine feel good time to play in an atmosphere that is 100 per cent interactive.
This is an ‘involvement’ festival, not just an entertainment festival. Everything will be interactive.
Set across two summer days at Dundrum’s beautiful Airfield Estate, on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12 12, Playstival with The Happy Pear celebrates positive play and the power of the imagination with a range of hands-on games and themed play universes.
Everywhere you go at Playstival you will encounter children’s games that nurture curiosity, imagination and exploration.
This will include everything from a park train service to a construction site for kids with hard hats and high vis jackets, an architects’ area and even a visit to the wild wild west.
