THE Local Enterprise Office (LEO) revealed a unique and novel concept for business men and women to meet during the launch of Enterprise Week in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown last week.
The ‘Peer to Pier’ networking walk aims to gather more than 300 of Dublin’s start-up entrepreneurs, investors, SMEs, corporates, executive coaches, mentors, state agencies, accelerators and incubators together on Dún Laoghaire’s East Pier on Friday, March 9.
The novel concept will give entrepreneurs and business people the chance to access the advice of various business experts, as well as forge relationships, promote their companies, and create partnerships that will last into the future.
Owen Laverty, Head of Enterprise, LEO dlr said: “Sometimes stepping outdoors can help get discussions flowing and where better than on the pier.
“We are aiming to get everyone together to share, socialise and make things happen.
“There’ll be coffee and ice cream available on the pier, and a chance to unwind afterwards at the Royal St George Yacht Club.”
The Peer to Pier networking walk is just one of a range of seminars, talks and workshops during Local Enterprise Week.
Cathaoirleach Tom Murphy said the investment by LEO dlr in the wide range of events in Enterprise Week dlr reflects their ongoing commitment to the business community,
“There will be a full week of activities,” he said. “Local Enterprise Week is one of the best opportunities for entrepreneurs to learn from the experts and identify ways to move their companies forward.”
There are hundreds of other events taking place for Local Enterprise Week, which runs from March 4 – 9 across the country.
