WITH Christmas done and dusted, it might be difficult to keep the kids entertained over the rest of holiday period before they go back to school.
However, there are still plenty of fun day outs across the Southside for the whole family to enjoy.
The classic Christmas panto is an enjoyable evening out for all the family, and many run until the end of January.
Catch ‘The Three Musketeers’ at the Civic Theatre Tallaght until January 7, with prices starting at €15. ‘Rapunzel’ is this year’s Gaiety pantomime of choice, with performances on right up until January 21.
Fossett’s Circus will be in Tallaght Stadium until January 7, and it features a two-hour show that is set to entertain both children and adults.
Featuring acrobats, magicians, clowns and jugglers, a day out at the circus will set you back €10 per child and €12 for an adult.
If your little ones won’t let ‘Frozen’ go, take them ice-skating at Dundrum Town Centre. A ticket for a family of four costs €45 with various skating times available.
Back over in Tallaght the stadium will be hosting their first ice rink this year. Tickets start at €13 with a family ticket priced at €50. Penguin pushers are available for those who aren’t strong on the ice at both locations. Both are open until January 14, so there is plenty of time to take the family in the New Year.
Dublin’s Outdoors suggest using the New Year to embrace the outdoors and go for a crisp nature walk. Try a stroll along The Grand Canal or a hike up the Dublin Mountains.
