THE 26th edition of the European Senior Bowling Championships (ESBS) takes place between June 25 and July 1 this year, with various tenpin bowling centres across Dublin coming together to host the prestigious event.

Almost 1,000 players and guests from 24 countries, have already registered for the championships in 2017, and they will be welcomed to five different bowling centres, Leisureplex Stillorgan, Coolock, Charlestown, Blanchardstown and ALSAA Bowl.

Players will compete in three events during the week of competition, Singles, Doubles and Trios, in three age categories, with each event hosted in a different bowling centre, giving the players a full flavour of Dublin’s different centres and allowing them the chance to see multiple parts of our city.

This is the second time that Dublin has hosted the ESBC, the first being in 1995. Then, 419 bowlers from 14 countries made the trip for a tournament hosted in just two bowling centres, showing just how much this tournament has grown over the past two decades.

It has become a major sporting event each summer and it is a great honour for Dublin to once again welcome Europe’s best senior bowlers.

All five bowling centres, along with the ESBC 2017 organising committee, is encouraging people to make the trip to their local centre during the week of action and help to make the ESBC Dublin 2017 a spectacular and memorable event for all those competitors making the trip.

All centres will be open to the public to spectate for the entire week, so get down and see just how magnificent an event the ESBC and tenpin bowling really is!
