THE Southside’s Iveagh Gardens are preparing to welcome thousands of foodies through its gates for the culinary event of the year – the annual Taste of Dublin festival, sponsored by Electrolux.

Taking place from Thursday, June 16 to Sunday, June 19, this four-day event will celebrate the vibrant and diverse Dublin culinary scene, as well as some of the Irish chefs who are making waves abroad with the festival’s special ‘Homecoming’ theme this year.

From fiery live demos at the Electrolux Taste Theatre with Ireland’s leading chefs and intimate workshops at the Chefs’ Secrets, and delectable dishes from some of the country’s most exciting restaurants to showcases from leading Irish artisan producers, not to mention live entertainment throughout the weekend, this year’s event promises something for all the family.

For the junior foodies, Mymilkman.ie will host Family Afternoons at Taste of Dublin on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-4pm each day.

For the first time at Taste of Dublin, The Natural Bakery will serve up a selection of freshly baked breads, treats and cakes to festival-goers across the four days.

Visitors to Taste of Dublin 2016 can experience what Corkonians have been raving about years – the famous Franciscan Well Brew Pub atmosphere that combines the unique taste of Franciscan Well Craft Beers with traditional Cork hospitality.

Step inside ‘The Crate’ for an unforgettable culinary experience with Chef Andrew Rudd. A life-size wooden crate, The Crate promises a showcase of amazing food and drink discoveries from all over the world. Due to popular demand, The Crate will only be available at certain times so check opening times in advance and book your place as soon as you arrive.

For an unforgettable experience for all the family to enjoy, come along to the 2016 Taste of Dublin. Tickets are on sale now from www.tasteofdublin.ie, priced from €15.
