One man arrested following armed robbery on Jamestown Road yesterday

Gardaí in Finglas arrested one man following an armed robbery that occurred at a business premises on Jamestown Road, Dublin 11 yesterday afternoon.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “At approximately 5p.m. yesterday afternoon a lone male entered the business premises on Jamestown Road armed with a weapon and threatened the staff members.

“He left the scene on foot with a sum of money.

2In a follow up search of the area Gardaí arrested one man (50’s) and the stolen cash from the premises were located.

“He was taken to Finglas Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

“He has since been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear this morning Tuesday 8th March, 2022 at Blanchardstown District Court, Court Number 1 at 10.30a.m.”

The investigation is ongoing.
