THE girls at Dominican College on Griffith Avenue were treated recently to an intimate performance from pop sensation and winner of Dancing With The Stars 2018 – Jake Carter.
The singer who has taken the music scene by storm since he launched his career on TV last year dropped into the Northside school ahead of his debut Dublin show at Vicar Street on Monday (October 29).
Speaking ahead of the show Jake said: “I am over the moon to be playing my first ever Dublin show in such an iconic venue.
“I have been to many shows there and always dreamed of playing the venue some day, so to be debuting in Dublin in that room will be a very proud moment for me.”
Jake has quickly developed a name for himself as the next big thing on the Irish pop music scene and has wowed audiences across the country with his energetic live performances – which usually end with mobs of teenage girls screaming out his name!
So it was an extra special treat for the students at Dominican College to get a private performance from the star.
Jake stayed at the school for over 90 minutes, singing half a dozen songs, taking questions from the girls and posing for photos and selfies.
