DCU Sport has won a national Q Mark Award for Leisure Centres at this year’s National Q Mark Awards.
Known as The Oscars of Business Excellence, The Q Mark Award is the highest accolade an Irish business can achieve.
DCU Sport operates the sports facilities and services for DCU students, staff, alumni and local public on a multi-site facility.
The win means they are at the very top of the Q for highest standards of Quality and Excellence.
Duty Manager Fergal Smyth, said the DCU Sport team was delighted with the award.
“Wow, another win in this category, up against some fantastic facilities,” he said.
“It really does put us at the forefront of national operators within this sector. The process is a super model that allows us to improve, grow and develop, yet stay ahead of the game at all times.”
Managing Director of EIQA, Irene Collins, congratulated DCU Sport on its award.

DCU Sport has been operating for 12 years and have 40 full and part-time staff and provide work experience to hundreds of students each year.
With over 6,000 members and a monthly footfall of 65,000, they provide wellness programmes to customers through a wide range of courses.
Over 500 people representing over 130 companies attended the awards ceremony at the Clayton Hotel.
