HOW quickly could you spend
?¬15,000? Well, the much-anticipated FM104 Big Spender with Blanchardstown Centre on Saturday, July 15, aimed to find out.
The Dublin radio station’s cross promotion with the Blanchardstown Centre gave one lucky listener the opportunity to spend a whopping
?¬15,000!Â
The entrants were whittled down to a final five contestants who went head to head in a play-off live on-air broadcast from the FM104 Roadhog.
And at the end of the contest there was just one overall winner – Niamh Farrell from Clonee. However, she faced a slight catch.
Niamh had 104 minutes to spend the
?¬15,000, but, not only that, she wasn’t allowed to spend more than
?¬1,000 in any one shop and whatever was not spent in the 104 minutes would be taken back.Â
To everyone’s delight Niamh not only met, but, exceeded the challenge by spending
?¬14,999 in 84mins!
“To say that I’m delighted beyond words would be an understatement,
? she said.
“I still don’t think the reality has sunk in and I’m still running on adrenaline.Â
“Shopping in Blanchardstown Centre will never be the same again, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to visit without remembering that Saturday afternoon and all the amazing, supportive and friendly people involved in running such a hugely successful competition.
