SISTERS Deanna (23) and Emma-Louise Buckley (12) from Ballymun had a real hair-raising experience recently, but it was all for a good cause.

Emma-Louise has never had a haircut in her life but decided the time had come to lose a lifetime of beautiful locks and donate them to the Rapunzel Foundation.

The Foundation makes wigs for children living with hair loss (alopecia) and when Deanna saw her little sis was willing to make a sacrifice, she decided to join in.

Thanks to Hair Candy on Shantalla Road and Glamorous Hair & Beauty in Ballymun the girls donated an amazing 54 and half inches of hair between them to the charity.
