Fire and emergency services in north Dublin are set for a major transformation under the most extensive fire station redevelopment plan in the history of the State, Fine Gael TD Naoise Ó Muirí has said.
“Investment of €16.4m has been earmarked for the construction of a new fire station on Alfie Byrne Road. This investment is long over-due and will finally deliver modernised facilities for the men and women of Dublin Fire Brigade on the Northside.
“As our population grows and we face more frequent adverse weather events, the range of demands on our emergency services is continuing to increase.
“This investment marks a step change for north Dublin. It will modernise our service fleet and infrastructure, ensuring our emergency responders are equipped to serve our community in the coming years”, concluded Deputy Ó Muirí.
