Balbriggan is gearing up to host a vibrant celebration of culture, enterprise and community spirit at the Flemington Community Centre.
BELIEVE Balbriggan will take place on Saturday, April 11.
The expo aims to strengthen local connections, build pride, and encourage even greater community participation.
It will bring together sports clubs, cultural organisations, community groups, local businesses, education providers, emergency services, and agency partners – all showcasing the very best of Balbriggan’s talent, services, opportunities, and innovation.
Exhibitors will highlight innovation, best practices and inspiring examples of community involvement from across the town.
Visitors can explore interactive stands, meet local organisations, and take part in a range of hands-on workshops designed to share the very best of what Balbriggan has to offer.
The event also supports the ongoing Digital Detox initiative, which encourages people to reduce screen time and reconnect with the world around them.
By stepping away from phones, tablets, computers, and social media, participants can improve well-being, reduce stress, and build more meaningful face to face connections – benefits that can be clearly seen and measured.
Mayor of Fingal Cllr. Tom O’Leary has expressed his support for the event: “Balbriggan is one of our most active communities here in North County and events like these are a fantastic way to celebrate the work of so many talented individuals at encouraging a thriving community.
“There’s so much planned to see and do including some very exciting workshops so please do get out there to Flemington Community Centre on Saturday, the 11th of April for a wonderful community day.”
The Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly added: “Balbriggan would not be the vibrant place it is today if not for the work of our many community organisations, local enterprises as well as our emergency and educational services.
“Their invaluable contributions make it somewhere people really want to live, feel welcome, and where they feel there is opportunity to contribute.
“This event on the 11th of April will highlight their achievements and I’d encourage everyone to participate and meet the many people who contribute to making Balbriggan the great town it is.”
BELIEVE Balbriggan is a long-term community movement designed to grow each year – supporting local partnerships, strengthening neighbourhoods, and ensuring every resident has the opportunity to play a part in shaping Balbriggan’s future.
