St. Francis of Assisi Primary School sleep out

A LOCAL school is currently taking part in a sponsored sleep out to raise awareness about homelessness and raise funds for their school.

Today St Francis of Assisi Belmayne National School, in conjunction with Focus Ireland, are undertaking a 24 hour sleep out to shine a light on our homelessness crisis and to help raise much needed funds for their Primary School.

The 24 hour sleep out kicked off at 11 am this morning and will run until to 11am tomorrow morning at the school grounds.

Focus Ireland is a nonprofit organisation based in Dublin that provides services for people who are homeless and people at risk of homelessness in Ireland.

It was founded by Sister Stanislaus Kennedy in 1985, and is one of the largest housing and homelessness organisations in Ireland.
