Irish Water and Fingal County Council are working to restore the water supply to a number of customers in Seapark and Robswall in Malahide due to a secondary issue that occurred following the connection works yesterday.
A spokesperson says that “dedicated water services crews making every effort to minimise disruption and restore normal water supply to customers as quickly as possible.”
To support customers, an alternative water supply is in place nearby in Island View, Malahide.
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and, as a precaution, boil the water before drinking.
Normal supply is expected to be restored by mid-day today, Tuesday, February 28. It typically takes up to three hours for normal supply to be fully restored as water refill the network.
Operations Lead for Irish Water, Tselo Tlou acknowledged the inconvenience to customers adding: “Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience when outages occur.
“Specialist crews are working to restore supply as quicky as possible to impacted customers.”
The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact on Twitter @IWCare with any queries.
