Do not swim notice lifted in Balbriggan

Results from bathing water samples collected last Tuesday (13^th) means the following beaches have met the result for “excellent” quality and the Prohibition Notices that had been in place have been removed:

• Front Strand, Balbriggan
• South Strand, Skerries
• Velvet Strand, Portmarnock

Unfortunately, the sample taken at Burrow Beach in Sutton has met the standard for “poor” and a Prohibition Notice will be put in place.

Fingal County Council say a resample ‘will be arranged.’
